Hi Atyab,

With a 7-10hp engine, you will go at least 30-40 miles per hour in the
wooden go-kart:

However for that speed, you need to make sure the build quality is very
good and that you have no loose parts or rattles. Also, the steering
setup on the lawnmower powered wooden go-kart is not designed for very
fast speeds of +40mph. For high speeds you would need a full steering
setup as on the racing kart at:
