Hi Max,

I would only put a 3 or 5HP engine on the wooden go-kart.
The wooden go-kart would not be able for any more power or weight to be
honest.

Typically most people make the wooden go-kart as a stepping stone to
making a bigger go-kart with a metal chassis and bigger engine.
