Hi David,

I used Mild Steel Tubing for the Go kart chassis.
Here is the company I got the steel from:
http://www.heitonsteel.ie/products/structural-hollow-sections.html

It was just cheap steel tubing, 25mm outside diameter with 2-3mm wall
thickness.
