[Kartbuilding] Fwd: gokart plans

Hi,

In some hardware providers, a 1" x 4" can be infact 3/4" by 3.5".
This is especially the case if the timber is "planed" as opposed to been
unfinished and rough.

You may be able to get actual 1" x 4" timber (un-planed).
If not, you will have to work out the dimensions.

For your first email, I'm not sure what go-kart you are referring to. Is
it the wooden kart?
If it is the first hole from the end of the axle, then you can decide this
distance yourself. You don't want it too small, otherwise it will be weak
where you drill the hole through the axle. A good figure would be 1/2" or
3/4".

I hope this helps.
Best of luck,
-steve
