Hi,
Ideally - you should be able to push start the kart. Sit in the drivers
seat with your foot on the accelerator. Get a friend to push the kart, and
hopefully, the engine will fire.
Another option, is to put the rear of the kart up on blocks so the rear
wheels can spin freely. Then start the engine with a rope. Once the engine
is started and the rear wheels are spinning, push the kart off the blocks
and press down on the accelerator.
You could always look into adapting the current drive system, by simply
adding a centrifical clutch. This would change very little and allow you
to start the engine with the kart stopped. See:
