Hi Francisco,

Sorry for the delay in replying to your email.

The reason the chassis of the "Donor kart" failed, is because it was 
previously damaged, twisted and in a poor state. See:

There were also splice plates welded into the frame (see bottom right of 
photo:

There was clear evidence that this kart had been involved in a lot of 
crashes previously.

As a result, I chose to make a new chassis and to learn about chassis 
design in the process :)
