Hi Tristan,

Make sure you read all the information about which kart you are making 
firstly. Plan out what you are going to do at each stage. Start with the 
chassis, then the rear axle, then the front axles, all leading to getting 
a "rolling chassis".
You can attach a roll cage during the initial design or afterwards. The 
roll cage should not adversely affect the center of gravity. As for 
attaching seat belts, the easiest approach would be to get a strong seat, 
perhaps one from a small car or one from a kart (depending on how big your 
kart will be). Then attach the seat belt/harness to the seat.
